People living around are using the road comfortably as the wastage on the side of the road been removed permanently. said Fatima, living at Imandipur, ward 7. “While going to school, I had to pass the road near Imandipur four intersections, encroached with garbage which left no space for walking. During rainy reason the local people suffered a lot due to the water clogging caused by the filthy waste.” said 16 years old Rima, lives at Mojidpur, ward 7. “Last year, nobody wanted to rent my shop due to bad odor as people dump their household waste on the road just on the opposite. But now my shops are on rent as the road is totally clean.” said shop owner said Salma Akter, resident of Imandipur , Savar Municipality. “Waste is unavoidable but we can ensure better waste management by awareness raising and advocacy with local stakeholders” she added.
