Jinnatul Islam is a volunteer of Proyash- II BURDC at Savar. Bangladesh Government imposed a nationwide lockdown from 26 March to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus but he was not one to stay at home. In Savar, the volunteer’s response has been recognized by the local stakeholders for the outstanding service provided by volunteers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Observing the lack of manpower in health services, Jinnatul Islam, along with 9 volunteers went to the Savar Upazila Health Officer to express their willingness to engage in COVID-19 testing. After that, they got ID card from Savar Upazila for sample collection and carrying COVID-19 infected patient by ambulance. Among them 8 UCVs are from Proyash Project.
