Shamim Hossain a 25 year old high spirited daring young man, has taken fire service training as an Urban Community Volunteer (UCV) under the SEEP Proyash Phase- I , as a volunteer he attend some fire incidents in former times in Savar but recently he attend as a volunteer at bloodcurdling fire occurrence at Chawkbazar. Let’s perceive his experience from his own. Why you have chosen to be a Volunteer? From my childhood I want to work for my country, I dreamt bigger things to do now I became a volunteer and serving my country and my country people without any expectation. I was at rover scout in Bangladesh from class three to ten. Then I joined at Tetul Jhora College but wasn’t involved with any volunteer work. When SEEP first came here I heard from Md. Monir Hossain Babu about the fire service training. Before Proyash, I didn’t heard from such kind of training and volunteer work.
